new hotel, spacious Japanese rooms, clean shared bathrooms
Shared bathrooms felt cramped at times, internal onsen could use more space!!! A lift is present, but navigating the hallways can feel awkward!!! Some amenities could use better signage for clearer directions!!!

the location seems nice, but the shared bathrooms were very cramped, making it hard to enjoy my stay. woudl ve been better if I was upgraded to a bigger room, considering the price. Also, a welcome gift would have been appreciated—but I guess that’s too much to ask. I was almost going to give a good review, but I just couldn’t.

The location next to the Yunomine bus stop made it easy to access after a long day of hiking. Meals were beautifully presented with multiple courses and catered to dietary restrictions, while the delicious crisp salads added a refreshing touch. However, the shower situation for women can be a bit awkward, as it is in an open area, and the shared bathrooms felt cramped at times, making it less than ideal for privacy.

nice ambiance but small bathroom
The couple running this place provided some of the warmest hospitality I’ve experienced. The meals served were genuinely outstanding. breakfast in particular was a delightful start to my day! After a long hike, the onsen was a perfect way to unwind, offering a tranquil space that felt rejuvenating. I also appreciated the yukatas provided for dinner, which added a cultural touch to my stay. The convenient bus stop nearby made getting around easily.
The size of the shared bathrooms was a bit cramped for my liking, making it slightly inconvenient at times.

The guest house was perfectly located in Yunomine Onsen, right across from the bus stop. The owners were unbelievably gracious and prepared the best meal during our Kumano Kodo hike. The private onsen was a blessing after a full day of hiking, and the room was clean and cozy.
